Three sections. Two hours thirty minutes.

Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability and RC — 33 to 34 questions each. All MCQ, negative marking applies. The DI component carries more weight here than in the IPMAT papers and benefits from early, structured practice.

Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and number theory at Class 12 level. More approachable than IPMAT Indore's Quant MCQ but equally demanding in pace.

Tables, bar charts, pie charts, and caselets combined with seating arrangements and syllogisms. JIPMAT's distinctive section — DI fluency is where most preparation effort concentrates.

The Details

Who can sit the paper, and when.

Eligibility

  • Born on or after 1 August 2006 (General category). Five-year relaxation for SC / ST / PwD applicants.
  • Minimum 60% aggregate in Class 10 and Class 12 — 55% for reserved categories.
  • Students appearing for Class 12 in 2026 are eligible provisionally.
  • Open to all streams — Science, Commerce, Humanities.
  • No upper limit on attempts beyond the date-of-birth criterion.
